THE PROBLEM
This project introduced some interesting challenges, as the professional mainly networks traditionally, through word of mouth, and her target demographic does not use social media or very much technology at all. My client did not want a web site, logo, or any kind of digital or social media presence. This meant no QR codes, no email address, nor web site links - only the phone number.

My client did not want a web site, logo, or any kind of digital or social media presence. This meant no QR codes, no email address, nor web site links - only the phone number.
These unique parameters challenged a lot of the routes I'd normally go about designing a business card, but in this case I needed to offer all of the information in a small 2.5" x 3" format. This is why I added multiple photos to the business card - since my client does not have a web site this is the only way to get her work shown to her potential customers.
RESEARCH & STRATEGY
My client wanted something Earthy, holistic, organic. When we were in the early stages of concepts (before we established the above constraints) I had started on a few designs for the front of the business card. Later we decided that we also only wanted to do one sided business cards.
